These Terms govern your use of StoryVault AI ("the App"), provided by Hypersage AI Labs. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. The App
StoryVault AI is an iOS app that lets you read public-domain classics and create AI-generated branching stories. The App generates new prose and illustrations using third-party AI services on our backend.
2. AI-generated content
Stories, choices, and illustrations generated by the AI are created in response to your input. The AI may occasionally produce content that is inaccurate, repetitive, or unintentionally similar to existing works. You are responsible for what you submit and for any use you make of the output. We do not claim copyright in AI-generated text or images produced for your private use within the App.
Generated content may not be:
- Used to harass, defame, or threaten any person.
- Sold or commercially redistributed in identifiable form (the App is for personal, non-commercial reading).
- Submitted as your own original creative work in contexts where attribution matters (school assignments, contests, professional submissions).
3. Subscription
StoryVault Pro is a paid subscription with three options: monthly ($9.99), annual ($79.99), or lifetime ($199.99 one-time). All purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase and does not renew. No refunds are processed by us; refund requests go to Apple.
4. Free tier limits
Free users get 3 AI Adventure turns per calendar month. The counter is per-device and resets at the start of each month. Pro removes the limit.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the App to generate content that is illegal where you live, sexually explicit, sexually involves minors, contains real personal attacks, or is intended for harassment. We may restrict service to users who do.
6. Public-domain content
The 28 bundled books are works in the public domain (published before 1929 in the United States). The App's curated text editions are derived from Project Gutenberg with light formatting; you may read, copy, and share these freely.
7. Warranties & liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for damages arising from use of the App, including any reliance on AI-generated content for any purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the App Store update notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
