The AI request takes 5–15 seconds per turn (longer for the per-turn illustration). If it sits there for over 60 seconds, force-quit the app and tap the same choice again — your progress is saved.
Profile → Upgrade → Restore Purchases. If your Apple ID has an active StoryVault Pro subscription or Lifetime, it'll re-link in seconds.
Free users get 3 AI Adventure turns per calendar month. The counter resets on the 1st of each month, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited.
Inside any chapter, tap the Aa icon in the top-right toolbar. Adjustments persist across all books.

The bundled library is all public-domain and the AI Adventure system prompt explicitly excludes explicit sexual content and child endangerment, so it's safe for 12+ classroom use.
Where the data goes
The full data flow is in our privacy policy — short version: your story input goes to OpenAI for generation and isn't stored, your saved adventures live on your device, no login, no ads, no tracking.
